Our Story

📱

The Swipe That Started It All

Like most great modern love stories, ours began on a dating app. We matched, we talked, and before long we agreed to meet in person — a little nervous, a little hopeful, the way all first dates are.

Getting to Know Her

There was a second date. And a third. Date after date, Matthew found himself sitting across from someone who was sharp, passionate, and steadfast in her beliefs. Anastasia had a way of making every conversation feel like it mattered — strong-willed in the best possible sense, the kind of person who makes you want to be more certain about your own life. It didn't take long before he knew: this was someone he wanted around. For a long time.

🌱

Growing Together

The next year was one of those rare ones — full of late nights, inside jokes, and the quiet joy of learning someone deeply. They discovered each other's loves, built routines and broke them, and learned what it meant to show up for each other in the big moments and the small ones. The kind of year that doesn't announce itself as important while it's happening, but that you look back on and realize: that's when it really began.

🏙️

A Place in the Sky

They took the leap and moved in together — 14 floors up in Anastasia's San Francisco condo. Matthew and Korra arrived in her sanctuary above the city, and the three of them made a home up there in the sky. It was loud, bright, and full of life. And then, as these things tend to go — they went and made an even bigger decision.

🏡

Home in Orinda

They bought their first home together in Orinda — a place to put down real roots, hang things on walls they actually owned, and start building something that was entirely theirs. It has been a happy place in every sense of the word: a project, a sanctuary, and a constant reminder of just how far they've come from their first date.

💍

The Next Chapter

And now here they are — ready to make it official. On August 29th, 2026, Matthew and Anastasia will stand in front of the people they love most and say the words that have been true for a while now. They are so grateful you are part of this moment. It means everything to share it with you.

Please plan to arrive and be seated by 4:00pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm — we'd hate for you to miss a moment!
We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present — including you! Our photographer will capture every moment. Photos are warmly encouraged during the cocktail hour and reception though, so get those cameras ready. 📸
Kids are absolutely welcome! That said, we encourage parents to arrange babysitters if possible — we want you to be fully present, dancing and celebrating with us all night long. We completely understand if little ones need to come along though, and we're so happy to have them.

Parking and shuttle details are coming soon — check back closer to the date! In the meantime, we recommend planning for a rideshare if you're staying at one of our nearby recommended hotels.
The ceremony will be held in Stewart Chapel — a stunning historic chapel on the campus grounds. The reception and cocktail hour will take place on Geneva Terrace, a beautiful outdoor terrace with sweeping views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Ross Valley.
We have four recommended hotels within 10–12 minutes of the venue, including one that's walking distance! Check out our Travel & Accommodations section for the full details. Room blocks coming soon.
